Together, Megan and co-founders Deborah Asato and Mary Barlow, former longtime colleagues, built Furnish Hope from a vision into a community organization that would grow to become the only furniture bank to serve the Central Oregon tri-counties of Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook. Ever a team effort, the start-up phase and evolving operations relied on their collaborative strategic planning and complementary skill sets as well as the incredible contributions of volunteers and community-wide support over the years.

This collective journey of faith, hope and love continues to shape Furnish Hope's legacy, creating a profound impact on countless lives. We are not only furnishing homes. We are impacting our region with hope and love, one home at a time.

Late in 2018, I received a message from my church about a mother leaving Bethlehem Inn with her three children, starting life over and in need of an apartment full of furnishings. I immediately had a vision so profound that it left me wrecked on the floor and weeping.” — Megan Martin
