Four Years of Shopping with Purpose
When we dreamed of opening a retail store, we knew we didn't want it to feel like a typical thrift store. We envisioned a beautiful, thoughtfully curated space that felt warm, welcoming and inspiring. A place where every detail reflected the feeling of home.
That dream became a reality thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the owners of our Scott Street location. Their gift of six months of rent-free occupancy, followed by six months of graduated rent, made what could have been an insurmountable leap not only possible, but successful. In September 2022, we officially opened the doors to Furnish Hope & Home.
More Than We Ever Imagined. More Than A Store.
The response exceeded every expectation. Customers embraced the concept, generous donors continued providing beautiful furniture and home décor, and the community quickly discovered that every purchase helped transform houses into homes for local families.
Today, Furnish Hope & Home is much more than a social enterprise. It's a welcoming community gathering place where volunteers build lasting friendships and every shopper is invited into our mission.
More than half of our customers discover Furnish Hope for the very first time when they visit the store. Many later return as furniture donors, volunteers, or advocates, making the store a natural gateway to deeper community involvement.
Every Purchase Has
A Purpose
The store has become a vital part of sustaining our mission, generating nearly 30% of Furnish Hope's annual operating revenue. This year alone, it's projected to contribute approximately $450,000 - helping furnish hundreds of homes with the essentials that bring comfort, dignity and hope.
Beautiful Finds. Meaningful Impact.
There’s something for everyone and every budget.
We thoughtfully price our furnishings to make creating a beautiful, comfortable home more attainable. Our goal is to keep quality pieces moving into the community while generating the revenue needed to support Furnish Hope’s mission.
This approach allows shoppers to discover stylish, affordable furnishings while knowing every purchase helps provide essentials to individuals and families rebuilding their lives.
Behind every thoughtfully curated display is our dedicated store leadership team, led by Store Manager Kathy Stiles. The team’s eye for styling, merchandising and commitment to creating a warm, welcoming shopping experience, keeps the showroom fresh, inspiring, and full of beautiful discoveries each week.
Our showroom is constantly evolving. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, new furniture and décor arrive almost every day, and no two visits ever look the same. One week you may find a cozy living room set, a unique accent piece or the perfect dining table - and the next week, something completely different. If you see something you love, don’t wait! It may be gone tomorrow.
Shop often, discover something new and know
that every purchase helps furnish homes and restore hope.
