Partner Spotlight: Les Schwab Tire Centers

Les Schwab Tire Centers have been an incredible champion of Furnish Hope for more than five years. When we needed to purchase our first truck, they stepped in with a grant that made it possible. When we needed to add another trailer to our fleet, they were there again with funding to support that growth. And when our vehicles needed new tires, they helped make sure we could keep moving safely and reliably.

Founded by Les Schwab in 1952 in Prineville, the company has grown into one of the largest and most respected independent tire companies in the country. Its culture is deeply rooted in quality customer service and the belief that giving back to their employees and the broader community makes everyone stronger and better.

As Steve Curtiss, manager of Les Schwab in Bend, says, the company is driven by “the heartfelt purpose to do the right thing.”

Beyond financial support, Les Schwab has gone the distance to support Furnish Hope in every sense of the word. They have helped us pick up donations from hundreds of miles away, including hotels and resorts, ensuring valuable furnishings end up in homes rather than in the landfill. When our donation volume outgrew our space, they provided shipping containers so we could store items safely and stay organized. And when our volunteer teams needed extra hands, the crew from our local Les Schwab showed up to help unload, sort and reorganize furnishings across all the containers.

Les Schwab has been with us every step of the way - keeping hope moving across Central Oregon year after year. We truly cannot say thank you enough for their generosity, their partnership and the way they continue to show up for our mission.
