When I was first asked to join Catwalk for a Cause, I immediately thought this was not for me since I don’t usually put myself out there like that. But, in the end, that’s exactly why I said yes. Stepping outside my comfort zone to support a great cause and create a meaningful experience felt like the right thing to do. Count me in!
My work is a lot like what it sounds like - drilling holes, loading them with explosives and blowing things up! Outside of work, I’m a full-on motor enthusiast. If it runs on horsepower, I either do it or dream of trying it. I love the outdoor life here in Central Oregon, where nature and adventure are never far away.
If I could hold onto one thing from my childhood, it would be the creativity and imagination I had back then. As I’ve grown, I’ve realized how important it is not to lose that spark.
My biggest inspiration has always been my dad. First, for his example of hard work and success, and now for his generous spirit and willingness to help others in need. If I could give advice to my 12-year-old self, I’d say: “Don’t be so hard on yourself. You’ll struggle because you care so deeply about being your best, but don’t shut out God. You’ll need Him more than you know.”
To me, hope means staying optimistic even when life feels overwhelming. It’s about choosing to see the light in the dark. And home? Home is less about the place and more about the people and memories that fill it. It can move with you when your people move.
