My first thought was how impactful and special this event is for our community and Furnish Hope. I immediately felt honored to be asked to take part in something that brings people together for such a meaningful cause.
-
I said yes because it’s an opportunity to serve a great cause, support Furnish Hope, and be part of something that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.

I’m passionate about my community and where I live. Serving others has always been a core part of who I am. I coach football, basketball, and track & field at my alma mater, Summit High School, which is incredibly rewarding. Outside of work, you can usually find me outdoors skiing, hiking, paddle boarding, fishing, or hunting, and I also enjoy playing golf and volleyball with friends.
-
I’ve drawn inspiration from the coaches, mentors, and family members in my life who have consistently led with encouragement, strong values, and a genuine desire to support others. They’ve shown me the impact of showing up for people and leading by example in both big and small ways. Because of them, I’ve developed a strong belief in giving back and helping others reach their full potential.

Hope, to me, is having reasons to keep going and believing that your story isn’t finished yet. It’s what gives you something to look forward to, even when life feels uncertain or difficult. In my daily life, hope comes from goals I’m working toward, meaningful relationships, and moments that give structure and purpose to the day. Living in Bend, hope also shows up in being outside in Central Oregon’s mountains and rivers, which helps put life into perspective. In the community, I see hope in people supporting each other and building meaningful and adventurous lives here. Ultimately, hope is a reason to wake up each day with intention and believe there is still more ahead.
-
My favorite thing about Central Oregon is the genuine friendliness and willingness people have to help one another. There’s a strong sense of community here, along with a shared passion for the outdoors. The combination of mountains, lakes, and rivers creates endless opportunities to enjoy and appreciate where we live.
