In one memorable evening, our Furnish Hope community raised enough funds to furnish 285 homes in the coming months. That’s 285 families whose lives will be touched with comfort, dignity and hope!
We warmly welcomed 200 guests into our home - the Furnish Hope Donation Center - the very heart of our mission.
The evening began with a lively cocktail hour featuring delicious paella cooked onsite by La Paella Bend and charcuterie appetizers provided by Zydeco, giving guests a chance to connect, mingle and soak in the energy of the space. Guests then toured the Donation Center, where Furnish Hope ambassadors were stationed throughout to share stories and insights into the real needs of the people we serve - from the number of beds and linens required each month to the impact of a simple dining table or a cozy blanket.
Following the tour, guests were invited to take their seats for a one-of-a-kind, heartfelt theatrical production that brought our mission to life. Told through the eyes of a neighbor in need, the story unfolded before everyone - showing, step by step, how Furnish Hope transforms empty spaces into warm, welcoming homes. As one life was changed and one home was created, the audience witnessed the true power of hope, dignity and community in action.
What followed was nothing short of humbling. The wave of paddles raised in response brought us to our knees and brought in more than $285,000 to support our mission. We are beyond grateful for everyone’s generosity!
As part of the evening’s program, Furnish Hope welcomed Gustavo and Rosa Del Cid, the very first family ever served by Furnish Hope, to share their powerful story.
