Chair Design FAQs

Register and pay the entry fee online starting January 8th. The first 25 to register and pay will secure a chair to design. You can pick up your chair at the warehouse during the kick-off gathering on January 22nd.

Yes, there is a $25 entry fee, but it does not cover the ticket to the event.

At the gathering, you'll meet other chair designers, share tricks of the trade, and look through boxes of supplies. It's not just a pick-up, but an event in itself.

Bring your finished chairs to the storefront for a champagne toast, show off your chair, and take photos of the artist with the chair. There will be a special shopping event at the storefront.

Unfortunately, your chair will not be promoted and showcased at the store or included in the event.

The chairs will be on display at our storefront, Furnish Hope & Home and on social media. Shoppers will get to vote for their favorite chair with each purchase and the top 3 chairs with the most votes will be included in the live auction at the event.

We will limit the live auction to three chairs.

All the chairs will be on display at the event with an opportunity for guests to sponsor a chair for a Furnish Hope recipient family.

The CHAIRitable event takes place at Tetherow on Thursday, May 16th. Event tickets cost $125 per person and we encourage chair designers to attend.

Chairs should be practical for general home use or child-centered. It's encouraged to add extras to the chair to add value and interest.

You're encouraged to create reels and share photos of the design process. You can also share what went into your design and explain what having a seat at the table means to you.
